What To Expect

This Summer

Over the months of June and July 2026, the IT team will be executing Phase 1 of a major, multi-phase, multi-year project to replace our aging and fragile network core.

Because our current network lacks historical documentation, we are taking a cautious approach to implementation. Our main goal is to complete our work with minimal disruption to your daily routine.

Here is a look at what you should expect, how we are protecting your day-to-day operations, and what we ask from you.

Our Plan To Minimize Disruptions

Burning the Midnight Oil - To prevent daytime disruptions, the IT team will perform all major, high-risk network and switch cut-overs overnight between the hours of 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM.

VBS and Sundays- Vacation Bible School and Sunday mornings require 100% network stability. No network modifications or migrations will occur during the VBS prep and event weeks from July 10 through July 24th. Sunday mornings will also be prioritized and protected.

Wrap Up - Our major project tasks will conclude before August, ensuring a stable network before CCA scheduling and teacher orientations begin. This also allows the IT team to shift its focus to the start of the school year.

Hotspot Internet Access - If required, key administrative spaces (including the Youth Suite Ministries, Business Office, CCA Office, Testing Centers and Maintenance Administration, Counseling Center) can quickly transition to dedicated cellular hotspots during scheduled or unexpected downtime. Important Note: While hotspots will keep your email and internet active, you will temporarily lose access to local network printers and any LAN-connected resources during this period.

          Weekly Updates and Visibility

Because upgrading a fragile network can be unpredictable at times, we are prioritizing transparency and communication.

Every Friday, we will distribute a "Weekly Look-Ahead" forecast on this webpage. We will also update task progress regularly as we make that forecast a reality.

Most importantly, this forecast will outline the departments and services scheduled for attention (and possible downtime) for the upcoming week.
